I had to go and find a dentist in faro over Christmas and was recommended to Clínica Médico Dentária in faro address below

January 5th, 2012

All I can say is that they were all fantastic, fitted me in next day (the day before Christmas) and spoke very good English. I had a broken tooth rebuilt and it took them an hour and a half, x-ray, clean, and rebuild the tooth only charged me 50 Euros.

I thoroughly recommend them

How to make a mooring block for a boat or a yacht

August 25th, 2011

I thought I would post this to help anyone thinking of making a mooring block I will put all the pictures up that I have as it made. Then i will add the video of the mooring and tackle going in.

mooring block design

Stainless bar though the block not touching any of the reinforcing rods so that there is no corrosion.

The dip in the base of the block is for suction on the mud, this helps the holding power of the block.

The block with these sizes weighs just under 3 ton ample holding power for sixty foot boat.
